Icons of an Era: An Exclusive Conversation with TLC, Salt-N-Pepa & En Vogue

TLC, Salt-N-Pepa, and En Vogue come to Nashville for one afternoon at NMAAM. Three groups, four decades of records that shaped what R&B and hip-hop sound like. They come together in the Roots Theater for a conversation about cultural impact, creative legacy, and the work still ahead. TLC is the best-selling American girl group of all time, with 85 million records sold, four Grammy Awards, and two Diamond-certified albums. Salt-N-Pepa are the first female rap group inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, first to go gold and platinum, and among the first women in rap to win a Grammy. En Vogue has sold more than 20 million records worldwide and ranks among Billboard’s Top 10 Most Successful Girl Groups of All Time. Salt-N-Pepa and En Vogue made “Whatta Man” together in 1993. This is the first time they have shared a stage since their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame performance last November, and the first time all three groups have appeared together at a cultural institution. Seating is limited and registration is required. Light bites will be served, and museum merchandise will be available at a discounted rate for attendees. This program is a moderated conversation.
